Health
There is no vaccination-duty. Please obtain information about your personal health risks from your general practitioner or a clinic for tropical medicine.

 

 

 

Visa
For a four-weeks stay in Sri Lanka only a passport with six months validity is needed.

Taxi and Transport
Public transport is cheap and easily available. If required, we provide a taxi service from the airport (approx. EUR 75,-).
A charming six-hour ride along the coast or through the hills will take you through lush palm scenery to AquaBeach Cabanas. For a quicker transportation see Air-Taxi to Dickwella.

Security
A truce between the government of Sri Lanka and the LTTE (Tamil Tigers) with the prospect of lasting peace between the Singhalese majority and the Tamil minority in the north and the east has ended in January 2008. The recent upcoming fighting is limited to the east and north. AquaBeach and the south are not affected by the riots.

 

 

 

 

Language
It is easy to get by with English. Singhala and Tamil are both national languages with English commonly described as a link language.

Weather
At the south coast November until March is high season. Temperature is never below 25°C. In November and December there are sometimes warm rainy showers. The weather at present here.
